In 1990, a 19-year-old with no qualifications and no connections started this business.
What she did have was experience – she'd worked her way up from sleeping in the back of an estate agent's office as a homeless teenager to becoming a manager. While others saw a young woman without prospects, she saw an opportunity to build something different.
That story isn't shared for sympathy. It's shared because it shaped everything about how we work: we don't take opportunities for granted, we remember what it's like to struggle, and we believe property should be about people, not just transactions.
Three decades later, Rentals & Sales remains proudly independent and family-run. The same values that got us started – hard work, honesty, and genuine care – still guide every instruction we take on.
